Academia was initiated to bring a soccer club of equal value to families who are not able to afford a regular suburban soccer club. Academia FCLA is a non-profit organization managed and staffed by professional soccer coaches and administrators.

AFCLA helps with children of all ages and with different socio-economic backgrounds. Scholarships and Sponsorship’s are provided to aid in those who need help. A connection with college coaches and a place of competitive environments to showcase your skills will be presented.

Jahir Fugon

Jahir grew up in Honduras. As a child he developed a deep love for the game that was the main pastime for all of Central and South America.

From an early age he was a stand out player and dominated most games in which he played. When he turned 18 he qualified to try out for the Honduran National Team and quickly earned a spot on the roster.

From there he played for local professional soccer teams for several years but decided to emigrate to the United States in hopes of playing for an American team. Instead he discovered he had a gift for coaching and developing up-and-coming soccer stars.
Jesus Fugon
Jesus started playing soccer soon after he learned to walk. By the time he was 12 he was the stand out star of every one of his teams. He was a club and high school stand out.

He attended UC Riverside and played on their nationally ranked squad from 2014 to 2016, leading them to Big West South Division Championship.
TomTaglang

Tom grew up in Pennsylvania. His father was a high school football and soccer coach who was sure to get Tom involved in sports very young. Soccer was where Tom excelled. As a high school soccer player Tom earned all-league honors and was the team's high-scorer.

Tom played Division III soccer at Elizabethtown College but his playing days stopped with a career-ending ankle injury. But coaching was in his blood. He was given an opportunity to coach his son in 2009 and hasn't stopped.
